Oracle EBS Functional Specialist-WMS (50-80% Travel)

POSITION

 

As a member of the Retail Systems team, this highly visible position will be responsible for the delivery, support and enhancement of our Oracle EBS applications and supporting interfaces and systems. This position will be equally engaged in technical, functional and support related tasks. Reports to the Applications Manager.

  • Support and administer Oracle EBS implementation: providing technical and functional support for the modules supporting warehouse operations (primarily WMS but including other supply chain modules).

  • This is a warehouse functional specialist role working closely with warehouse associates on the floor at our many Distribution Center / Warehouse locations to understand user needs and devise processes and methods for improving warehouse operations and automation.

  • Work with business users to refine Business Requirements Documents, Functional Design and Testing documents.

  • Convert business requirements into technical design documents, develop and implement the solution.

  • Secondarily, you will also be part of the general applications team charged to assist in the development, testing, and support of other CW applications and development efforts.

  • Develop test plans and scripts.

  • Support and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and training for specific modules.

  • Coordinate and/or deliver end-user training as appropriate.

  • Lead projects and enhancements efforts from conception through deployment.

  • Deliver solutions on-time and ensure satisfy internal customers and external parties (e.g. auditors).

  • Modify / customize workflows and form personalizations.

  • Participate in peer code/design reviews to ensure the delivery of quality solutions.

  • As part of the 24X7 Oracle support team, this position will require on-call support as part of a rotating schedule.

  • Heavy travel 50% - 80%.

     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S Degree, preferably in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 10+ years of experience providing Oracle Inventory, Purchasing, and Order Management EBS technical and functional support, business systems analysis, solution design, and deployment of Oracle ERP applications.

  • Requires in depth knowledge of Oracle Apps, specifically in the financial and supply chain modules.

  • Experience in Oracle EBS R12 required.

  • Strong knowledge of all Oracle WMS and Supply Chain modules required.

  • Oracle EBS experience including implementations, conversions, integrations, extensions, customizations, reporting, data warehousing and BI

  • Understanding of Oracle database environment including: development tools and practices, troubleshooting, data management, database design techniques and performance tuning.

  • Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and developer tools like TOAD.

  • Strong knowledge of FSG (financial statement generator) / ADI (Applications Desktop Integrator), OAF (Oracle Applications Framework), ADF (Application Development Framework), Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and Oracle Workflow Builder.

  • Knowledge EBS System Administration.

  • Technical knowledge of EBS Supply Chain and Order Management modules, with Financial modules experience also highly desired.

  • Must have experience as a brick & mortar warehouse functional specialist familiar with -- picking, packing and put-away rules as well as order management processes to pick, pack and ship product. Experience using MWA mobile warehouse application a plus.

  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including ability to use Microsoft Office desktop tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).

  • Strong interpersonal skills -- including the use of written, electronic, and oral communication.

  • Sound reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving aptitude.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
