Employs independent judgment in guiding moderately complex activities involved in the successful implementation of an integrated business solution, ensuring project quality and timely delivery within budget to the customer s satisfaction. Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle s solution meets the customer s objectives by combining industry best practices and product knowledge. Effectively applies Oracle s methodologies, policies, and procedures while adhering to contractual obligations, thereby minimizing Oracle s risk and exposure. As a project lead, assists project team with aspects of their roles. Effectively influences decisions at the management level of customer organizations. Ensures deliverables are acceptable and works closely with the customer to understand and manage project expectations. Supports business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain credibility. Manages the scope of small projects and sub-projects.
6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 0-5 years of project management experience. Demonstrated ability to follow solid project management principles. Comfortable working in a matrix management environment. Strong communication skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the portfolio focus. Bachelor s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Ability to travel as needed.

The Consulting Project Manager plays a vital role in implementing our products, growing sales and supporting the diverse needs of our customers.

Travel approx. 75-100% of the time and as required on an ongoing basis.

Experience using software to develop and manage a project schedule

Quick Study, self-starter and motivated

PMP credential preferred
Prefer Bachelor s degree or higher
4 to 6 years experience in a Client facing Project Management or Consulting role
Previous experience managing projects, people and customer relationships
Enterprise software implementation experience
Previous Oracle project management experience preferred
Experience managing metrics including project margin and financials
Customer Relationship Management
Work with customer leadership and customer project manager to manage scope, schedule and budget with quality and risk management
Interact with customer to discuss project status, and manage issues and risks
Promote customer loyalty and trust through open communication, problem resolution, and feedback
Support customer satisfaction and manage expectations
Business Planning Development and Planning
Proactively identify opportunities and leads and engage sales team to lead business pursuit
Coordinate with Practice Directors and sales team to pursue identified business prospects
Identify opportunities to up-sell or position consultants for project roles
Assess risk and assumptions on agreements and implement/manage contingency plans
Work with sales team to define scope and estimates on change orders
Identify staffing needs and coordinate the right staffing mix at the right time to meet the needs of the project and the overall consulting portfolio
Keep resource management system updated on a weekly basis
Communicate staffing changes and the subsequent revenue impacts to the Practice Director
Promote project team communication and cohesiveness, fostering a positive team environment
Support communication and adoption of new and existing policy/procedures in the consulting organization
Identify on-the-job training opportunities for team members to improve skills
Identify staff performance issues and discuss with consulting management
Assist with coaching recent hires and other consultants to facilitate their transition into the organization
