PSG is looking for top students looking to gain staff level accounting experience. As an intern, you would receive hands-on training that will help prepare you for your accounting career.

The internship program includes:


Tasks/duties required to support accounting department monthly processes: * Complete bank reconciliations * Compile documentation for special projects (FAS audit, lease audit, escheat, tax packages) * Maintain salary template * Maintain building/equipment lease schedules * Complete JE packet * Complete/research refund reconciliations * Research/reclass miscellaneous cash * Sales/use tax filing * Records retention * I/C Task (Overhead) * Compile physician contracts for expense reports and PARs * Track PSA payments * Assist with variance explanations * Assist with performance improvement projects Attend new hire trainings & take online trainings to gain understanding of: * Components of balance sheet * General ledger and the associated processes * Other systems used Shadow staff to learn each person’s task and responsibilities: * Staff Accountant * Senior Accountant * Manager or Director Meet with three non-accounting directors over the summer to learn about another department.

Prerequisites to Program Participation: * Present enrollment in an accredited 4-year accounting program * Working knowledge of business, finance, accounting fundamentals, US GAAP knowledge a plus * Excellent knowledge of entire MS Office Suite and outstanding Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, etc.) * Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and analytical skills * Excellent oral and written communication skills
