_Job Summary_– The Database Developer, under the direction of the Manager is responsible for producing the underlying assets which support the analytical and reporting solutions which drive the decisions that drive the operations of the organization. As a part of the Financial Systems team, this person will be responsible to move, integrate, and transform data into business insight.
_Supervisor_– Database Developer Manager
_Duties (included but not limited to):_ • Works closely with Financial Analytics team Database Administrators and Architecture teams • Mastery of Performance and Query Tuning • Provide Database Administrative Support • Analyze business needs to produce data warehouse/business intelligence solutions in support of PSC’s BI strategy • Work as a part of a development team to implement product enhancements • Produce quality & timely deliverables as part of data warehouse project team • Design and develop Data Warehouse ETL tools and Stored Procedures • Design and develop Reports from Data Warehouse using BI tools • Perform peer reviews and take ownership to ensure quality of data in data warehouse • Efficiently work in an agile environment – both Sprint and Kanban methodologies • Production support on a rotating basis

_EDUCATION_ • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred
_EXPERIENCE_ 7 years of experience with ETL Design & development using Microsoft BI stack (or similar), including SQL and SSIS in Data Warehouse setting. Preferred experience with MicroStrategy or similar, and integration with existing architecture and data engineering assets. Strong understanding of Healthcare Revenue Cycle Data preferred. Strong understanding Data Warehouse architecture and Development. Preferred working knowledge of VBA, C#. Strong understanding, application of quality assurance and data quality principals as applied to an ETL architecture. Expert understanding of Microsoft Office toolset to support legacy solutions using Excel, Access, and VB/VBA.
_PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS_– Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 25 pounds occasionally. Work is an office environment. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
