Job Description

Laurel Road, a brand of Key Bank, is part of the expanding FinTech space: we offer Mortgages, Student Loans, and Personal Loans through a digital online experience, https://www.laurelroad.com . We simplify the process for both borrowers and bankers, while including choices of products, improving tracking, and offering a positive banking experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE LAUREL ROAD STUDEN LOAN OPERATIONS ANALYST:

  • Processes daily loan disbursements based on loan closing documents.

  • Researches and processes refunds and overpayments.

  • Processes wires, deposits, payments and other monetary and servicing transactions.

  • Works with loan servicer MOHELA to perform servicing transactions.

  • Tracks volumes, outstanding items, etc. as required by management.

  • Documents daily activities to ensure work is in balance and information is available for daily reconciliation of general ledger activity.

  • Provides excellent customer service.

  • Works with other loan servicers to research and resolve discrepancies.

  • Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES :

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – specifically Excel.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrate good judgment.

  • Organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Ability to work individually and on a team.

  • Ability to multitask and re-prioritize tasks as required.

  • Proactive and enthusiastic.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

  • Bachelor s degree preferred.

Required Years of Work Experience:

  • 1+ years
