Job Title: Principal Software Developer - Fusion Apps on OCI

Location: Bridgewater, NJ

As part of FA LCM team you will be working on deploying Fusion Applications on the OCI, the newest Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. You'll be using Java, Python, RESTfull APIs, Docker, Terraform, and more in a DevOps, CI/CD, agile development environment. You will have a major impact on Oracle’s business by transforming how Oracle’s SaaS/Cloud applications are delivered and maintained for enterprises.

Job Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field

  • 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a software development.

  • Established record of engineering and technical leadership with proven results in designing, implementing and maintaining complex systems and services

  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure and cloud design patterns.

  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems

  • Familiarity with OCI, Terraform, Object Store, distributed file systems and cloud storage

  • Strong knowledge of Java with hands on development experience

  • Experience with RESTfull APIs

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Jython, Perl, etc.

  • Knowledge of SQL, DDL and database technologies

  • Familiarity with J2EE Application Servers and deployment patterns

  • Experience with SDLC, Agile and DevOps methodologies

  • Familiarity with test driven software development processes, experience with Hudson, Jenkins

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
