Location/Division Specific Information

North East/ Pharma Services Group / Sr Business Development Executive

Key Requirements:

  • Being a coach and a team player for new Business Development including identifying opportunities with new clients through interaction with Rx customers for softgels and OTC customers for OSD and softgels

  • Following up on leads from attending various related OTC conferences; meetings; seminars; webinars via networking etc

  • Creating and executing sales programs for new prospective clients to increase awareness of PSG’s service offering and key differentiators from our competition

  • Identifying and presenting PSG’s value proposition, including opportunities for strategic cross selling of PSG services.

  • Management and building on current relationships with our key customers

  • Enable winning quotations and agreements with new and existing customers

  • Manages, updates, maintains and records all relevant activities in the SFDC database, and shares information and background on prospective clients within the territory to PSG stakeholders

How will you make an impact?

  • Responsible for driving and achieving new business revenue growth from assigned territory.

  • Managing Sales/account management activities for all assigned locations,

  • Defining and driving sales strategies

  • Providing leadership to subordinates and ensuring the achievement of new business, revenue and business goals.

What will you do?

  • Own all sales/ account management responsibilities of specified technologies of Thermo Fisher

  • Maintain accurate quarterly revenue forecasts.

  • Understand all budget issues related to new business at each customer and take strategic action.

  • Work with Sites to achieve excellent customer satisfaction

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor’s Degree; a scientific focus such as Pharmacy/science or Engineering with a MBA preferred


  • 10-15 plus years of sales experience in a related technical product area

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Highly developed negotiation skills for customer interaction and closure of sales and other issues.

  • Excellent, enthusiastic, clear communication skills to a diverse audience is critical to the success of this position.

  • Systematic problem solving by working with customers and account team.

  • Presentation skills and creating materials for presentations to internal and external audiences.

  • Ability to work in good cooperation within an account team.

  • Ability to travel to customer sites locally and internationally.

  • This position is ideal for an experienced professional wanting to be involved with a dynamic team and exposed to a constant variety of customer application areas.
