Due to an increase in project work and team growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Communication & Engagement Consultant to join our motivated and thriving Environment team in Brisbane on a permanent basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the timely delivery of high quality communication and community engagement services, for a range of clients, across a diverse range of projects.

Minimum Requirements

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking research and providing input into strategic and tactical communication and engagement plans;

  • Working with multi-disciplinary teams, providing and evaluating communication and engagement services;

  • Writing, producing and distributing communication materials for both traditional and online channels;

  • Coordinating community information sessions;

  • Managing and responding to key stakeholder and community enquiries;

  • Data entry using Consultation Management Systems (CMS).

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor degree in Journalism, Business or Communication/PR;

  • Minimum of 5-8 years experience working within consulting, not for profit or government;

  • The ability to manage competing deadlines;

  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal;

  • A professional and tactful approach;

  • A strong sense of personal satisfaction for providing a high level of service to clients;

  • Some flexibility with travel in short stints from time to time;

  • The ability to work in a supportive team environment.
