Sales Advisor/ Executive (Employee Health & Benefits ) Summary Are you interested in working for an organisation that is an Industry leader in Employee Health & Benefits? Assists with development of sales presentations and works to ensure the maintenance of a book of business of small, low-risk accounts and a high frequency of sales work to generate a sales profile Assists with cold calls utilizing a proficient awareness of internal offerings and product solutions to ultimately gain sales meetings. Develops routine and effective sales proposals and sales presentations for prospect accounts. Closes routine sales deals by negotiating values and basic pricing structures to best serve both the business and client needs Helps with conducting thorough due diligence research leveraging various resources and channels of information to identify or understand prospect accounts or target sales expansion opportunities. Participates and shadows a Sales Professional or Sales Leader in client and prospect meetings as appropriate to gain insight as to large or complex accounts, specializations and all general aspects of the sales process. Supports in maintaining account relationships and works to ensure the business is viewed as a preferred vendor. Works on the sales process from start to finish to ensure service quality and general transactional satisfaction. Belongs to various professional organizations and grows a large professional network to benefit and represent the business. Participates in sales training events and other professional development courses. About the department and the nature of the role: Elect is a Health and Wealth benefits solution broker which is a small umbrella under the Mercer Marsh and McLennan companies (MMC). Due to the large scale of the business we have a wealth of knowledge in the industry and can offer our clients bespoke and competitive rates so that they can offer their employees a comprehensive wellbeing package. The client-market we work in is small to medium enterprises and currently has 3000 clients that we service throughout the year. The main focus of your role as a Sales Advisor will be to acquire new clients through new & existing partnerships with Brokers within the MMC network. Besides opening new client accounts, you will be continuously managing and enhancing your relationships with internal and external Health & Benefits (HB) Brokers. This will be achieved by excellent customer service, strong product knowledge and a solution-based mentality. Responsibilities: Achieve new business target Monitor insurers/ providers performance on behalf of clients Communicate and negotiate with insurers Completion and maintenance of CRM and use to plan, manage and monitor sales activity Identify business opportunities from prospects Work with support team assigned to ensure the delivery of service to clients in line with Mercer standards Understand client needs and meet objectives Build successful client relationships Expand client relationships across broader EH&B offerings Gain referrals from clients Successfully transition new accounts to colleagues post win Work closely with other colleagues to maintain clients To be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and experience: Proven track record of winning new business and achieving yearly sales targets on a consistent basis Current or previous experience in a Business-to-Business sales environment; preferably within Employee Health & Benefits industry Strong organisation skills and able to manage multiple sales prospects Able to work on own initiative About the company: At Mercer, we make a difference in the lives of more than 110 million people every day by advancing their health, wealth, and careers.
