About the Job:

Migrate Validation

team builds software and processes that ensure schema changes are adequately

tested and risk is well understood in advance of deployment in production. The

team identifies time-consuming internal processes and builds solutions that are

reliable and scalable enough to work with the rapid global expansion at NSGBU. As

Migrate Validation Manager, you will be responsible for the roadmap and

delivery of the systems and business applications supporting the Migrate

Validation function for NSGBU Operations.

In this role, you

will contribute a diverse set of skills and experiences, ranging from deep

expertise in effective software engineering and product development background,

to the ability to drive consensus across organization boundaries. Additionally,

you will demonstrate a passion for identifying technical solutions for business

problems and a track record in delivering innovative systems, rooted in

research and engineering excellence. You will apply excellent communication

skills, particularly with executive-level stakeholders.

You will get to

work with leading edge technologies such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI),

ELK Data Analytics, REST APIs, Oracle Cloud DB platforms, NSGBU Internal tools

and Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Work

on overall Design and Implementation of a Continuous Validation ecosystem in

pre-Production environment

  • Audit

current tools and processes to streamline and automate manual tasks

  • Interface

with other teams: Infra, DevOps, and DBA, to define business requirements and

deliverables to streamline overall Operational processes

  • Leverage

modern technologies: Elastic Search, Salt Stack, Oracle database, Oracle Cloud

Infrastructure, etc. into the solutions we build

  • Manage

a team of engineers with positive attitude and good team spirit

Requirements:

  • 3

years of related experience

  • Proficient

in Python or a similar high-level programming language

  • Working

knowledge of Databases and SQL language

  • Comprehensive

understanding of Linux operating system

  • Past

experience with management and development in Cloud Services Architectures:

OCI, AWS, Azure, Google, etc., a plus

  • Atlassian

Jira, Confluence knowledge a plus

  • Self-starter

with a strong desire to learn

  • Expert

at multi-tasking and managing parallel projects and deliverables at the same

time

  • Team

player who can be innovative and think of new ways to improve process and tools

  • Good

written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Bachelor’s

or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent

experience.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.
