As part of the Network Services team within Oracles Global Information Technology organization, you will be responsible for the delivery of IT services to Oracles businesses worldwide, these services include the management and delivery of network infrastructure.

Maintain (and monitor) records of equipment failure and liaise with engineers and suppliers as necessary - and recommend / implement changes to procedures and practices. Escalate client problems according to established procedures but exercising judgment in the process. Manage the network using network management tools, analyze network performance and recommend / implement network enhancements. Analyze network performance to ensure adequate bandwidth for business needs - and implement changes as appropriate. Working closely with 'global' network team / development recommend enhancements to the network infrastructure, and enhance proactive network management tool set. Troubleshoot network problems on the campus network, remote locations and the Irish wide area network though to resolution exercising independent judgment and creativity. Perform Project Engineering including specification definition, design of solution in compliance with corporate standards, implementation, testing through to production. Respond to monitor alarms to identify the root cause of an outage and coordinate the corrective action in a timely fashion. Provide technical and product leadership to management and contribute to Global IT policy. Provide on-call support services as needed and lead others in complex situations.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience and degree/diploma in computer science or IT discipline.

UCC Design - Call Control/Session Border Controller Engineer

Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Call Control/ Session Border Controller Engineer to create/shape the technical strategy within the End User Services Design Team. This position will be focused on Voice and Video with heavy dependencies on Cisco Call Manager infrastructure, Session Border Controllers, PSTN gateways and related Cisco based products (CUCM, IM&P, VM, Endpoints).

Some of the responsibilities include Research, Product Selection, Design, Integration, working together with peers, teammates, business units and vendors to ensure strategic design and direction. Position will be an individual contributor providing strong architectural, technical, and organizational leadership to develop and implement enterprise architectures and solutions for Oracle s Lines of Business ensuring that the technical solutions being created align and meet with the business and corporate objectives.

Job Duties and Functions

Create and maintain customer facing technical standards pages, documents, policies and procedures.

Perform detailed complex designs for new hardware, systems, applications and services.

Provide Level 3 technical support.

Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, peers, and other business units.

Create quarterly and fiscal year budgets.

Drive innovation and technology to meet business needs and strategic advantage.

Analyze business, technical requirements and trends to define 1-5 year technical strategy.

Lead investigations of potentially relevant new technology.

Required Qualifications

Degree in electrical/electronic engineering, computer/communications engineering or related discipline preferred.

Prefer at least 8 years work experience in an IT or telecommunications industry with an excellent understanding of Network Services (Voice & Video Infrastructure, End Points, Bridging, Virtual Machine, Routing, Switching, Security, Internet, etc.).

Experience in designing and implementing advanced technology architectures.

Experience with integration of multi-user, multi-platform, complex enterprise networking environments.

Required Demonstrable Experiences

Cisco UC Products: at least 5 years of experience up to and including CUCM V10.5 . Full understanding of recent CUCM Technologies like GDPR/ILS, EL-CAC SME, PCD, Prime License Manager and Cisco UC Licensing. Preferably experience with Mega-Clusters, IM&P, UCCX (IP/IVR).

Session Border Controllers: at least 3 years of experience in setting up SBCs (ACME Packet / Cisco) for ITSP connectivity, SIP Trunking, SIP Normalization.

Voice Gateways: at least 3 years of experience in setting up Cisco ISRs as Voice Gateways/CUBE.

SIP Signaling: strong knowledge of SIP protocol and header roles, header manipulations, media negotiation and regular expressions.

VMware vCenter: VMware ESXi vSphere.
