Job Duties::

As a Production Supervisor working on the URGENT-E team, you will be empowered and inspired to do your best work. You will contribute to our mission by ensuring safety, Quality, cost and on-time delivery of Medical device products. A typical day for you will include: 

Maintain high level of visibility with associates. Use hands-on approach to communicate daily and involve associates in problem solving. 

Promote safety and ensure a safe work environment and safe associate work habits. 

Develop a high performance work team with high levels of associate engagement morale, satisfaction, and performance.  

Create and maintain a respectful work environment by listening, seeking facts to support decisions, managing one’s own reactions, and addressing unacceptable behavior. 

Help associates succeed through performance management. Provide coaching and performance communication to support development. 

Ensure the desired product quality levels are achieved through use of setup standard work and training to those standards, training in operation and inspection techniques, and use of tools/data. 

Support and implement new, customer-focused processes in accordance with lean principles and practices. Ultimately ensure standard work is created for all production lines, Provide training and coaching to improve standard work, work center organization, 5S, Work Content Tool, Waste Identification and reduction.  

Support and foster an environment of continuous improvement Thru the use of our BBB, and analyze existing processes for improvement opportunities, implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation. 

Support associates in understanding company policies and practices, ensure associates training compliance due dates achieve 100%.  

Take notice of process related problems and support associates in taking corrective action to improve the overall performance of the team. 

Communicate with and listen to associates on a daily basis regarding work center/team performance KPIs, strategic initiatives, policy changes, safety, quality, etc. 

Communicate with other supervisors and appropriate personnel regarding equipment, safety, work center schedules, company policies and practices, performance improvement plans, etc. 

Basic understanding of equipment trouble shooting, calling for repairs as necessary.  

Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries. 

Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests. 

Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and personnel requirements; implementing change. 

Resolves problems by analyzing data and leading the investigation of issues; identifying solutions; recommending action. 

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. 

Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.

Job Requirements::


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related supervisory position externally with experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Minimum of 5 years of internal experience or may advance based on management’s discretion and demonstrated job performance.

  • Must have detailed knowledge of the products, processes and relevant skill sets.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and/or previous Lead or Supervisory experience.

  • Ability to work overtime as needed.


  • Good analytical skills.

  • Skilled in team building, goal achievement and motivation.

  • Capable of training others in technical tasks.

  • Understanding of the basic concept of production control and techniques.

  • Knowledge of basic quality concepts and improvement techniques.

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).

  • Oracle experience is a plus.

  • Ability to maintain acceptable levels of quality and productivity as acquired through training and demonstrated aptitude within a designated skill set and product line.

  • Maintain confidentiality of documents and process.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Sense of ownership and a sense of urgency.
