Data Analyst – Job Description
The Data Analyst’s role is to analyze and improve system data for Oracle’s Global Recruiting organization. The successful individual will work on identifying and investigating data discrepancies and transferring data between existing applications and improving the framework. The Data Analyst is also responsible for ensuring the standard process is followed and proposing improvements to existing processes.

Essential Job Responsibilities
⁻ Review on a daily basis the data from the main HR systems relevant for Recruiting activity (new hires, open/closed requisitions, offers submitted etc.)
⁻ Research, review, and analyze the discrepancies found and create/update/enforce procedures aimed at reducing the occurrence and impact of such discrepancies.
⁻ Develop routines and procedures for end-users to facilitate best practices in the use of applications.
⁻ Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to understand requirements and achieve agreed goals.
⁻ Work with System Developers to understand system changes and explain them further to other users.
⁻ Monitor the quality of systems data within the organization and work with management on constantly improving the accuracy and reliability of the data.
Job Specific Competencies
⁻ 4 years professional experience with at least 2 years with reporting/system data/analytics.
⁻ Proven experience with data analysis, reporting tools, software, and other applications.
⁻ Considerable exposure to the operation and analysis of relational database software and standards, as well as data retrieval concepts and methodologies.
⁻ Extensive practical knowledge in importing and verifying data for use in reports software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts.
⁻ Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
⁻ Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it.
⁻ Very good analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
⁻ Very good listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
⁻ Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
⁻ Strong customer service orientation.
⁻ Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
