The Manager for SSP and Revenue
Management Cloud would support the Revenue Recognition Organization with
processes, functional knowledge and system expertise concerning design and implementation
of the end-to-end processes that impact Oracle’s APEX Revenue Management and Revenue
Management Cloud modules across all regions and globally.
The SSP and Revenue Management Cloud
Global Process Organization is tasked with the ownership of all business
processes related to the Revenue Management Module operations and systems that
are in support of the Revenue Recognition teams, Corporate Finance teams and
the SSC Revenue Accounting team.
This is a full-time opportunity managing
processes at the largest business software company in the world, Oracle Corporation. As the Manager for SSP/RMCS on the Revenue
Management GPO team, you will help design automation and implement the
end-to-end processes for the SSP and Revenue Management systems.
The SSP/RMCS Manager calls for a
highly skilled individual to manage a team of senior financial analysts providing
direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex
involving the application of advanced technical / business skills in areas of
specialization. Candidate must possess strong analytical and communication skills
in partnering with other internal groups. Candidate should have a good sense of
global and regional finance practices, be able to prepare and deliver quality
presentations, submit regular status updates, make recommendations and raise escalations
This role has global
responsibilities and will act as liaison between Finance Business groups and
IT, leading SSP/Revenue Management systems and processes. This role will be a key contributor to
coordinate and review SSP studies, implement system enhancement requests for
SSP studies, provide production support and lead large-scale project
initiatives as part of a team that supports Oracle Finance business units and
Oracle IT internal software implementations.
This role will need to track SSP milestones/deliverables and drive SSP
to completion by targeted deadlines.
Manage a team of functional experts working onthe SSP (Standalone Selling Price) for RMCS (Revenue Management Cloud Services)and other system solutions required until full implementation of RMCS.
Provides liaison between various groups fordevelopment of automated SSP solutions and ongoing maintenance.Groups could include, but are not limited to– PD, OAL, RevRec Development, RevRec FV team and various LOBs.
Understand and apply ASC606 standardrequirements, specifically related to SSP and Revenue Allocations, includingthe Residual Approach method.
Participate in workshops and reviews/updates ofdocumentation related to RMCS and other SSP solutions as needed.
Identify and solution system deficiencies.This will require working closely with theRevRec Core team, GDRT, RevRec FV team, PD, OAL and RevRec Development todetermine required workarounds and long-term solutions.
Responsible for developing andimplementing activities in project management databases surroundingintegration, maintenance and new requirements of the SSP and Revenue Allocationprocess. This includes but it not limited to testing participation, engagementswith other Process and System owners, awareness of business process,coordination of enhancement requirements, acting as the main Business POC forOAL and Development teams, system documentation and overall strategic planningfor the end to end process related to SSP and Revenue Allocations.
SSP and APEX Revenue Management
Undertake resource allocation and work planningfor SSP studies
Identifies, recommends and implements relevantmetrics that ensure SSP compliance
Ensure adherence to SSP through reviews andinteracting with Revenue Recognition and Line of Business owners
Proactively communicate processexceptions/deviations to Senior Management, and bottlenecks to all processstakeholders
Perform Multiple Element Arrangement (MEA) 3 rd Reviews, includes reviewing MEA templates submitted by analysts forcompleteness, proper usage and system functionality.
Resolves escalations relating to SSP/MEA processand related items with RevRec Development team.
Prepare documentation to be reviewed anddiscussed with external auditors related to SSP/MEA processes.
Replicate and standardize best practices forSSP/MEA area
Manage system maintenance of SSP tables andmappings.Includes working with RevRecDevelopment team for set up, mapping and calculations of any new SSP groupings.
Quarterly 606 MEA/SSP reporting for EY andmanagement.Includes working with RevRecDevelopment to create new reporting, prepare necessary reports and reviewreports/memos prepared by team.
Assist with training and documentationrequirements.
SSP and RMCS Project
Identify process & systemdeficiencies.Log ERs and workwith PD and OAL contacts where needed to resolve deficiencies.
Document SSP requirements for RMCS SSPSolution.
Assist with RMCS test case scenarios,includes providing SSP for test cases and testing revenue allocations.
Work with PD and OAL on SSP Solution forRMCS.Includes setup, integration withRMCS and other systems, testing and bug resolution.
Work with Cross Functional teams to reviseprocesses where needed for automation.
Work with PD and OAL for enhancement requestsneeded in feeder systems for systematic automation of SSP (OM, PA, etc.)
Maintenance of mappings and SSP tables in SSPsolution after go-live.Working withRevRec FV team who provides the updates needed.
BA/BSdegree in Accounting or equivalent.
8-10years of finance/accounting/revenue experience
Demonstratedleadership and people management skill
Interactionwith senior management
Experiencein working with Oracle’s accounting modules or feeder modules and relatedapplications with systems upgrade experience desirable.
Abilityto effectively communicate verbally and in writing and build strongrelationships across cross-functional teams
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Detailoriented, yet able to identify issues and grasp concepts at a broaderlevel
Experiencein working with the business from a finance perspective at global Fortune500 enterprises
