IBM Mobile Manager in BUCHAREST, Romania

Job Description

You Will:

• Manage the mobile development department that delivers work across a portfolio of clients from various industries

• Key responsibility includes positioning the delivery value proposition to clients, sourcing, financials, operations (seniority-mix, bench management), people management, talent development, pre-sales and accountability for all the commercial client work delivered

• Align highly autonomous teams towards complex multi-year goals while meeting the operational needs of current customers through coaching and mentoring

• Regularly assess the team's maturity, health, and composition, relentlessly striving for cohesion and delivery excellence

• Manage, plan, and track production and development schedules and workflows, while raising risks, managing trade-offs, and eliminating blockers

• Continuously assess a team's current situation and adapt planning tools, Agile methodologies, and communication channels to ensure successful, sustainable delivery

• Provide strategy and input for complex client bids which touch multiple lines of service with capabilities full range of capabilities: Business Analysis, Development, Testing, Support, Project Management

• Monitored projects, solved and anticipated issues, early identified and mitigated risks, dealt with shared resources constraints

• Assess client satisfaction

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

You Are:

Educated and experienced: you earned your bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another technically-oriented field. You spent time working as a developer or business operations before acquiring 7+ years of experience working with teams as a Producer, Project or Program Manager, or Development Manager building world class platforms or distributed services

Process-driven: you have a broad toolkit that supports creative product discovery and project delivery, defined process optimization, and value stream mapping

An Agile pro: you're fluent in—and advocate of—development best practices; you've successfully lead teams using a variety of practices including, but not limited to: Scrum, Kanban and Lean Product Management

A delivery-focused leader: you guide teams down the right paths even if they're unpopular or difficult to traverse to ensure they provide optimal value

A motivational mentor: you keep teams focused on results, growth and actionable feedback

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

Ideal profile:

• 10+y IT

• 7+y PM/Program Manager/ Department Manager in Mobile technologies environment

• Strong technical background (previous experience acquired as IT Architect, Technical Lead)

• Agile experience

• Client facing previous experience

• Flexible, driven, self-disciplined, able to work in a multi-stakeholder environment, able to manage multiple teams in parallel
