Social Media Communication Manager

Preferred Qualifications

Subject Matter Expert in the field of Social Marketing with a background in marketing, communications or journalism

Main responsibilities to include:

  • Creation and development of social media plans for global awareness and demand generation campaigns

  • Co-ordination and liaison with key content providers across line of business, Marketing and PR teams

  • Liaising with PR, AR and line of business stakeholders on the development of influencer marketing programs

  • Close contact, brainstorming, and planning with line of business stakeholders, Marketing and PR teams to ensure social media programs have engaging components to drive increase engagement and that support inbound marketing initiatives

  • Monitor pre-defined KPI’s and success benchmarks to help the measurement and evaluation of Oracle social media activities and content strategy with monthly reporting back to key stakeholders

  • Monitor industry social media trends and develop plans for the continual innovation of Oracle social media programs that build audience and drive engagement

  • Develop and maintain regional line of business Luminary programs

  • Creation and development of social media plans to support to regional and country PR social media programs

  • Creation and development of social media plans for onsite event social media support

  • Participate in enterprise-wide content (editorial) calls

  • Work with Oracle’s creative design team to develop engaging social imagery, animations and videos for use on social channels.


  • 5 years of relevant social media marketing experience

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related (MBA preferred)

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English language. (Other languages a plus)

  • Knowledge, understanding and passion for social media platforms, communities and the opportunity these can present in a B2B environment

  • Knowledge as a user and manager of an enterprise social media program is essential to being successful in this role

  • Digital marketing agency background is desirable

  • Experience of using social media publishing tools like HootSuite and Sprinklr

  • Experience of using influencer marketing platforms like Traackr is desirable

  • Experience of using social media listening tools like Shoutlet/Spredfast, Synthesio, Sysomos and Brandwatch

  • Experience of using employee advocacy platforms like EveryoneSocial or Dynamic Signal

  • Experience with social media analytics and KPIs and proven ability to provide insights based on these measures

  • Experience of delivering paid social programs is desirable

  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Experience creating designs for digital advertising is desirable

  • Solid project management skills

  • Ability to contribute individually and participate in cross-functional teams

  • Ability to cultivate cross-cultural relationships

  • Ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly, capable of presenting visual projects to a remote marketing group

  • Ability to work flexibly, to multiple deadlines and across a variety of marketing campaigns, in an international team

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive can-do attitude

  • Close attention to detail, follow-up, with an extreme sense of urgency and perseverance

Development of communication programs to promote Oracle

  • s products and services.

Integrate advertising into the marketing campaigns. Maintain regular interface within the organization and with external suppliers and agencies. Plan and manage pan-geography corporate and local campaign media plans. Plan, manage and implement corporate and local campaign advertising creative. Use professional concepts, company policies, procedures and own creativity handling local campaigns - and arrange sign off with appropriate management level. Integrate all advertising across the communications mix. Maintain and communicate brand advertising guidelines. Provide support and input when assisting with partner advertising. Manage resources within the terms of project budget. Develop and manage brand communications audit. Measure advertising effectiveness.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Five years relevant work experience. A proven track record in advertising across geography, five years experience, within a reputable global agency or major industry leader.
