Sr. Category Manager, IT Procurement - EMEA
position has become available for an experienced IT Procurement Professional,
based in Bucharest, Romania.
successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal English Language
skills and be able to work with all levels of both internal and external
contractual experience, the successful candidate will be involved in Mergers
and Acquisitions contracts, day to day contracts, Strategic IT Procurement
initiatives and Commodity Ownership. Day to Day Strategic IT Procurement work
will also play a key part in the success of this role.
Prepare, conduct and analyseRequest for Proposals (RFP’s) and Request for Quotes (RFQ’s).
Formulate, review andnegotiate contracts in line with Oracle’s legal terms and conditions.
IT Procurement CommodityOwnership; Various commodities across the Team
Provide ongoing support andguidance to LOB’s as required.
Act as the interface andpoint of escalation for internal customers ensuring resolution ofvarious procurement issues.
Manage and or participate inEMEA procurement projects as required.
Ensure optimum value isachieved from vendors in terms of price, service and coverage.
Follow RFI/RFQ/RFP processesand procedures.
Complete RFP/RFQevaluations, analyse data and make recommendations on supplier selection.
Assess current and potentialsuppliers in terms of geographic footprint, scope of services, marketposition, competitive pricing, terms and conditions, service levelagreements etc.
Analyse data and makerecommendations on supplier selection.
Formulate Service LevelAgreements (SLA’s) in accordance with the LOB’s specifications andrequirements.
Assess performance ofselected existing suppliers by establishing scorecards, participating inperiodic Supplier Business Reviews and, when required, putting togetherCorrective Action Plans.
Liaise with Oracle’sProcurement Contracts Team (PCT) to ensure regional and local countrycontracts comply with Oracle’s corporate and legal policy requirements.
Experience in theprocurement of IT category;
Contract negotiation skills.
Supplier relationshipmanagement skills.
Computer literate – (MSWord/Excel/ Outlook).
Good command of the Englishlanguage, both oral and written.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment, and services while ensuring the best quality at the best value.
As a member of Oracle's International Electronic eBusiness Center, you will consolidate, negotiate and manage a regional supply base. interface between our regional subsidiaries, suppliers, and/or Corporate Finance team. Place, expedite, and status orders daily in accordance with Oracle's Global Purchasing/Finance policy. Monitor the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned standard and nonstandard contracts. Manage supplier invoice holds. Analyze global spending trends and recommend cost saving opportunities. Identify, propose and initiate implementation of process efficiencies/improvements. May provide feedback to Product Development on product usability. May assist in training of new buyers and end users.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Extensive commodity knowledge, excellent written and oral communication, customer service, computer and negotiation skills, and ability to multitask. 5 year experience and BS/BA degree or equivalent.
