IBM System Programmer in BUCHAREST, Romania
IBM Z is seeking a software engineer to be part of a highly skilled, results oriented agile team working with industry leaders in developing the next generation tools platform for the mainframe that powers over 90% of top 100 banks globally and used by over 90% of all Fortune 500 companies today.
As part of DevOps for Enterprise Systems group under IBM z Systems, you will join our mission and commitment in delivering state of the art software technology in our modern tools platform for working with large scale enterprise mainframe systems.
As a z/OS system programmer, you are part of a highly focused, self-managed Agile team who manages the installation, configuration, trouble shooting and problem analysis of mainframe systems and applications.
You have strong z/OS and subsystems programming experience in creating infrastructure services as well as writing system level code.
You will help bring digital applications to life by creating robust enterprise platforms to support rich and interactive front ends to support next generation experiences.
You interface with enterprise architects and delivery teams to shape, estimate, and define the programs that turn ideas and prototypes into fully functional systems.
As a member of a dynamic team in supporting the delivery of enterprise software for a large user base, you demonstrate leadership, technical curiosity, a self-starter, creativity as well as forward thinking with a passion for growth and innovation.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum 5-10 years experience in z/OS system programming
Minimum 5-10 experience in z/OS security, RACF, SSL, SSO
Minimum 5-10 experience working in COBOL, REXX/CLIST, Assembler
Minimum 5-10 years experience working with mainframe SCM (e.g. Rational Team Concert Enterprise Extensions (RTC EE), Endevor, Git/GitHub/GitLab)
Strong working knowledge of ISPF dialogs/macros, TSO, JCL, SMF Records, zFS/HFS, UNIX, SCLM, JES
Experience in working with z/OS subsystems (CICS, IMS, MVS, DB2, MQ, JES)
Experience in mainframe storage solutions and database technologies including ISAM, VSAM, IMS, DB2
Experience in Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
A self-starter & ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Experience in z/OS Management Facility (z/OS MF), SMP/E
Experience in Java EE, WebSphere Liberty
Experience in microservices architecture and API design
