IBM Contract and Supplier Master Data Management Specialist in BUDAPEST, Hungary

Job Description

General Purpose

The main responsibility of the Contract and Master Data Management Specialist is to develop, coordinate and maintain purchasing contracts in a contract life-cycle management system, and clean and manage vendor and commodity master data in the systems, supporting the everyday Procurement operations.

Main Responsibility Areas

  • Develop contract drafts

  • Align with legal and business for final contract terms

  • Handover to business for incorporation into the automatic process

  • Update and cleanse existing contracts

  • Validate and update if required any Vendor data within the scope

  • Align with VMD on any amendments for full alignment

  • Perform regular vendor and commodity data cleanse

  • Classify data according to business rule and maintain updated

  • Update database regularly to feed into the business spend cube

Client Procurement Organization, Category Managers and Tactical Buyers, Legal Team, Management Team, Team leaders, Operations Team, Reporting focal


Participates as individual contributor to team. Most work carried out using work instructions, some self-initiated. Performs and/or coordinates day-to-day activities to meet operational metrics of the team.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Fluent English and one more major European language

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in every aspect of the role

  • Flexibility to undertake any non-routine requests

  • Strong communication skills

  • Team player

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • System requirement: MS Office, SAP
