AECOM Senior Hydrogeologist in Burnaby, British Columbia

AECOM requires a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our growing team of hydrogeologists within our Environment Business Line. We are looking for candidates that are enthusiastic, team oriented professionals with strong technical capabilities in physical and contaminant hydrogeology. In this role, you will work with our experienced team of hydrogeologists on projects in the mining, waste management, remediation and water supply sectors in Western and Northern Canada as well as internationally.
The role can be based out of our Burnaby, Kelowna, Victoria, Edmonton or Calgary offices.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Design and implementation of hydrogeological assessments involving drilling, well installation, permeability testing, soil and water sampling, borehole instrumentation and management of contractors
Undertake technical work involving the assessment and reporting of groundwater flow and quality data
Management of projects in accordance with approved scope, schedule and budget
Liaison with clients and regulators
Active participation in mentoring and development of junior and intermediate staff
Business development activities including proposal preparation
Travel as required to support staff development and project delivery
Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology or related engineering discipline
10+ years of experience conducting hydrogeological and/or geochemical assessments
Currently registered or eligible to register as a Professional Geoscientist or Engineer with the provincial professional association
Strong technical skills and experience as it relates to hydrogeological assessments, dewatering, groundwater modelling and groundwater geochemistry
Knowledge of provincial and federal policies, acts and regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Graduate degree in Hydrogeology, Engineering or related science
Experience working on multidisciplinary projects for clients in the mining or oil/gas industry
Experience developing and implementing groundwater modelling studies
Commitment to developing and maintaining lasting relationships with clients and professional colleagues
Bilingual (English /French) an asset
