Job Summary

The Transportation Division in AECOM’s Calgary office is seeking a dedicated and engaged Bridge Engineer to join the Bridge Group. The appropriately qualified candidate will get an opportunity to work with a high-performing group that has a great depth of experience in many types of bridges and different delivery models.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution

  • 2+ years of practical experience

  • Knowledge of Finite Element analysis and modelling

  • Formal education in both Prestressed Concrete and Structural Steel design

  • Working knowledge of bridge modelling software

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Enjoyment of deriving technical solutions from a pragmatic understanding of empirical theories

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree with bridge specific courses

  • Ability to work independently

  • Can demonstrate a pragmatic approach, with the ability to pro-actively address construction challenges when designing

  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills, are a must
