PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Specialist - Railcar Sourcing is responsible for managing the sourcing process for railcars and related repair components. This candidate will be required to work with all levels of the organization to advance projects and sourcing strategies in the overall best interest of CP.
Partner with internal stakeholders and supply community to create sustainable supply chain agreements;
Work cross functionally to drive business deals to executed contract;
Ensure sourcing strategies have appropriate supply/distribution strategies;
Perform scenario analyses to present projects in view of Total Cost of Ownership;
Direct activities of team member focused on MRO sourcing & supply strategy.
University degree in engineering, business, or supply chain.
5+ year’s experience in operations, finance, or supply chain management related fields;
Experience in sourcing and contract negotiation;
Heavy equipment and/or mechanical experience is an asset;
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in fast paced environment;
Experience with mechanical equipment and/or systems;
Ability to recognize conflicting business needs and broker resolution;
Independent and innovative thinker, with strong customer focus.
