PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Specialist SAP Business Systems is to provide ongoing support to project teams specific to the change process. In addition, supporting the SAP Charm and Solution Manager Toolset for upgrades, provisioning and support.
Drive the implementation of industry best practices (ITIL) to CP change processes for the SAP System Landscape for both Run and Build;
Drive and collaborate with various process owners to develop, improve and implement standards, procedures and guidelines;
Mentor and educate internal and external resources on the (SAP) change processes;
Initiate broad visibility of any (SAP) system changes across CP and to all stakeholders;
Provide support in internal and external audits and reviews;
Technical knowledge of Solution Manager tool set, practices and processes;
Develop and implement an integrated approach to SAP and Non SAP change environments;
Assess projects pre production and post production to ensure quality mitigating incidents and defects;
Assist with project tasks in all environments for quality of deployments;
Complete the retrofits in all environments to ensure deployments can occur in a timely manner.
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and/or SAP;
5 Years + in SAP and or IT;
In depth knowledge of Charm and Solution Manager;
ITIL certification or understanding of concepts;
Proficiency in how SAP integrates with other tools;
Strong written and verbal skills and able to interact with all levels of Leadership;
Solid understanding of Change Management practices and processes;
Ability to establish strong working relationships with CP internal; customers as well IS departments;
Ability to work as part of a team and/or independently;
Ability to overcomes challenges;
Ability to influence and persuade;
Fundamental understanding of Project Management would be of great assistance.
