Eaton Corporation Product Analyst in Camarillo, California
Eaton’s Controls Power Conversion Division-TAM is hiring a Product Analyst. The Product Analyst will be based from our Camarillo, CA facility.
Provide product management tactical support focused on current year profit plan commitments, with the potential to directly manage selected products as needed. Supports $85M military business on a project basis with assignments as proposed by Product Managers, and approved by the Product Line Manager. Position is developmental in nature with career path to Product or Project Management, or Sales.
This position will actively participate in the administration of the commercial vehicle product portfolio, with responsibilities focused on tactical support of existing customers. The daily tasks of this function will be defined and directed by the Product Line Manager, including price and catalog support, part number setup and maintenance, sales and order analysis, and operations.
Establish working knowledge of products, process and core business through the execution of projects as assigned. These will typically be projects with a clearly defined scope and a measurable result, borne from a backlog of tactical issues.
Assist in the development and communication on planning and forecasting data driven by Eaton EBS business planning cycle, assist in analyzing and establishing product pricing.
Evaluation of product line extensions, cost reduction, customer specified modifications, and process improvement recommendations for market acceptability. This includes regular documented cross-functional team meetings that give clear direction and priority.
Work closely with cross functional teams to support customer retention and growth, including product line extensions, response to RFQ’s, including business proposals. Drive the new part set-up process for all product lines and support related activities.
Provide daily commercial and technical guidance and provide product assistance to Inside and Outside sales teams, and manufacturing operations as required. Assist in the development and delivery of training materials and marketing communications.
Support promotional activities to meet growth objectives and business performance goals consistent with the strategic plan.
Assist in product line life cycle management including new product launch assistance, execution of part number consolidation and product end of life. Perform market and competitor research as directed.
Support special projects as needed.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Experience in engineering, customer support, technical sales role, operations, marketing, or project management obtained from an internship, co-op or higher.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or marketing
Master’s in business administration
One year commercial experience
Experience with SAP ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated technical aptitude
