Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Staff Engineer for immediate employment for the Camarillo, CA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Work with and support project teams on the design of water / wastewater systems

  • Plan, prepare and/or review technical plans and specifications

  • Develop and write engineering reports

  • Develop alternatives analysis for a wide variety of water and wastewater projects

  • Prepare drawings and visual aids

  • Identify and verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering

  • 2+ years of relevant planning and design experience and technical knowledge in water and wastewater related projects

  • Experience in the areas of treatment, piping and conveyance systems, pump stations, storm drainage conveyance projects and other municipal and industrial water and wastewater projects

  • Must have knowledge and/or experience in planning studies, systems analysis and rehabilitation projects

  • Experience collaborating on multidisciplinary projects

  • Capable of functioning with spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software plus industry specific water and wastewater platforms including CAD packages

  • Experience evaluating hydraulics and water quality

  • Having EIT certification, and ability to obtain California PE

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

  • Public sector operations experience in water and/or wastewater treatment plants and collection and/or distribution facilities

  • Construction Engineering experience
