Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

We are looking for a strong, self-directed technical individual who wants the challenge of ensuring security and compliance for data within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. You will be working with data producers, consumers, corporate security, audit and compliance partners, gathering requirements, create design specs and work with engineers for implementation. In addition, you will propose and create proof of concepts for tools to automate and reports to improve visibility for security & compliance.

You have a passion for Security, with a strong desire in data analysis and solid capabilities in software engineering. You must demonstrate a proven track record of driving process, tooling and automation improvements based on data analysis. You will have the freedom to work independently, be thrust into ambiguous learning experiences and be empowered to drive decisions and solutions to protect this organization, so you will be agile, willing to learn and drive for results. Your knowledge and experience in ISO 27001, ISO 27018, FedRAMP, GDPR, HIPAA and SOC 2 will be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Primary person responsible for scope, development and engineering efforts for security and compliance areas.

  • Develop tools and automation in support of review and data collection activities. Build data visualizations and dashboards in support of security compliance needs.

  • Educate teams on security practices and requirements that are relevant and adoptable by engineers. Manage access control for end users.

  • Lead and manage the full life cycle of medium to complex cross functional security compliance and audit related projects

  • Hold everyone involved accountable for timely and quality execution of assigned tasks

  • Present recommendations, options, opportunities, and assumptions to leadership

  • Maintain internal wiki for assigned compliance programs covering scope, governance, FAQs, security and operational documentation

  • Facilitate all retrospective reviews of projects completed, particularly when projects did not go per plan.

  • Experience with best practices related to network architecture & security controls (Routers, Firewalls, networking protocols, etc)

Required Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience in a similar capacity managing security and compliance projects and/or programs

  • 3 years hands-on Programming experience in one of more of the following: C#, Python, PowerShell

  • 3 years data query experience with one or more of the following: Oracle Db, ADW, SQL, PL/SQL, Object Store

  • 2 years in any operational security related field experiences, including but not limited to: information protection, threat detection, or incident response

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS/MS in data science, computer science or security, -or- related field and work experience equivalent to 3-5 years specialization in Security, development engineering

  • Security industry accepted certifications (CISSP, A , CEH)

  • 4 years professional experience in creating security policies, data classification, managing compliance audit, reporting and data visualization practices
