Manage people for product development programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers. Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets. Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management, providing negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area preferred. Eight or more years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

The Region Lifecycle organization manages the end-to-end lifecycle of OCI data centers, from site selection to region build to asset management and decommission. We are reimagining the traditional end-to-end datacenter infrastructure workflows to accelerate the pace of new region deployments and efficiently operate our data centers. We re looking for a hands-on leader with strong management experience to lead a team responsible for developing and implementing high-priority strategic initiatives across the organization. As a Senior Director of Technical Program Management you will build, own, and manage a team responsible for delivering new regions and expanding existing data centers to support business growth. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile, and highly-ambiguous environment. Given ever-changing business requirements, you must embrace change and react quickly to overcome new challenges every day. The scope of this role is truly end-to-end in bringing regions to life, starting with executive "go" signal and ending only when the region is available to the public at "go live." You will oversee all phases of bringing up a new region to ensure successful handoffs between groups, from datacenter site selection, to hardware procurement and physical region build, to software/application-level deployments, to operational testing of the region, to ensuring service parity across all regions for our customers.

15 years business experience including leading system-enabled transformation across operations functions (including planning, operations, strategy)
Cross-functional partnership, experience navigating across teams with objectives to translate business strategies, initiatives, goals, and objectives into project proposals
Communication, including up/down/lateral communications experience
Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for the full program life cycle, including product, costing, and headcount
Prior development experience with infrastructure build workflows
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
As a Senior Director, you will apply your extensive knowledge of program management to tasks associated with building and delivering new infrastructure. You will provide technical leadership and help drive cross-team engineering efforts to build systems and services that improve operational efficiency, increase velocity of product delivery, and drive reliability, scale and performance.
Own and drive the development of short, medium, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
Advanced knowledge and experience with the full program life cycle, with Agile and iterative development practices and associated tools such as JIRA. Proven success contributing in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, with the ability to establish and nurture relationships between multiple teams and navigate dependencies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical content to both technical and non-technical peers, customers, and at times, executive leadership.
