Primary Role

  • Help develop deep learning algorithms for semantic image segmentation, industrial internet of thing (IIoT) and every other business need that requires deep learning

  • Work closely with Software Engineers and internal teams to discover, invent, and build at the largest scale. Ideas may come from internal projects as well as from collaborations with peer researchers. From creating experiments and prototyping implementations to designing new learning algorithms and deploying them

  • Participate in cutting edge research in deep learning applications

  • Develop and deploy solutions for real world, large scale problems

Key Accountabilities

  • Exploring and developing new Machine Learning models and techniques

  • Introduces creative approaches to research topics and generates new approaches, perspectives and solutions to research topics

  • Planning and designing research projects: specifying the problem and defining the project scope

  • Realizing solutions through prototypes

  • Exploring new data sources and discovering techniques for best leveraging data

  • Collecting and performing data analysis to validate and further new theories and discoveries

  • Working closely with product engineers to design, develop and incorporate AI solutions into new products

  • Experience and enthusiasm in applying data science and machine learning to molecular sciences or drug discovery • Experience in advanced data science techniques and tools, machine learning, supervised/unsupervised learning, etc. • Experience with UNIX, Python, C++, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras • Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for working in an interdisciplinary team environment


  • Extensive knowledge in deep learning for computer vision and/or IIoT

  • Knowledge with state-of-the-art methods in deep learning for computer vision (e.g YOLO, Mask RCNN, RetinaNet, etc)

  • Knowledge of, or experience in, building and deploying production-quality large-scale applications related to machine learning


  • 2+ years of full-time industry experience in computer vision, industrial IoT, sensor data analysis and deep learning from concept to production

  • Substantial experience in end-to-end deployment of production-grade, scalable, fault-tolerant, highly-available deep learning solutions

  • Hands-on practical experience in building software and algorithms for object detection, semantic image segmentation, scene analysis, and object tracking

  • Hands-on practical experience in building software and algorithms for object detection, semantic image segmentation, scene analysis, and object tracking

  • Experience with machine learning/deep learning frameworks/packages (e.g. Keras, Tensorflow, PyTorch, MxNet)

  • Experience working in Agile development process and deep understanding of various phases of the data-science project development life cycle

  • Hands-on experiences in deep-learning models (e.g. CNN, RNN, LSTM, GANS, transformers)

  • Hands-on experience in applying machine learning techniques to solve real-world problems
