Our Homeowner Services Group, a business unit of American Water Enterprises, Inc., American Water’s market-based business, is seeking a Business Development Intern for our corporate operations located in Camden, NJ. This position is designed to engage interested students or graduates in the Marketing field.
This position assists the company’s growth with a focus on coordination and timely delivery of marketing tactics for American Water Resources (AWR) Business Development team with the key function of prospect engagement supported through a variety of tactics including mail, email, social, tradeshows and presentation materials. They will support prospect engagement by assisting Business to Business Marketing personnel with data management efforts and the creative process including the review process across all media channels. They will work within several data platforms (including Customer Relationship Management Systems) to build and launch marketing campaigns as well as tracking of results. This role will flow to the work across the various marketing needs in a conscious effort to expose all the areas of marketing execution. Research is key to this position and will require individuals to search across databases and perform active outreach to build databases.
Executes and optimizes daily operational communications with an acute attention to detail and strong time management skill set.
Supports the execution of email campaigns to support marketing goals.
Supports quality assurance of all Marketing Materials utilized in direct mail, email and social efforts.
Offers tactical support to team members for creative set-up, review and list processing.
Support Customer Relationship Management System cleansing and maintenance efforts.
Data entry into reporting and list cleaning for email campaigns by cleaning email address or names presented within CRM system.
Research and results tracking
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships/alliances with external and internal client groups.
Manages work complexity through effective prioritization and follow-through.
Strong self-structure, organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
Ability to research data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Proficiency using various computer applications, particularly MS Office applications, including Outlook and Excel and PowerPoint.
High School diploma/GED required
Must be enrolled in a Bachelors Degree program for Marketing, Business, or related field or be a college graduate in Marketing, Business, or related field.

Valid Drivers’ License Preferred
