- Primary Role*
/ This position is responsible for managing activities concerned with the delivery of asset management and operational technologies and being a "product owner" for operational technology programs, the size and importance of which are critical to company objectives related to production, networks, and/or other water resource or operations systems./
Monitoring and managing budgets and schedules for asset management technology projects and programs of varying scope. (20%)
Driving efficiency into asset management programs through the development and monitoring of metrics. (10%)
Delivery and management of assigned projects and programs in accordance with established policies and procedures; (10%)
Ensure business partner satisfaction. Interacts with Operations personnel to ensure operational technology platforms meets operational needs. Support the development of appropriate governance programs, change management, and communication strategies. (20%)
As a Product Owner, interacts with Technology & Innovation and business partners to ensure technology implementation and programs are meeting business needs; and enhancements are being prioritized and managed in a transparent and structured manner (20%)
Broad knowledge of Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Asset Management/GIS, and Project Management practices related to planning, design, construction, maintenance and operations for water resource facilities, engineering and utility economics, operations and maintenance and construction technology.
Good working knowledge of regulatory developments, new technology and current trends in water quality, water treatment, and other related water resource management disciplines.
Strong project management skills (e.g., planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and reporting of project activities).
Ability to interact with colleagues, governmental agencies, consultants and the general public with effective skill.
Project planning skills. Good verbal and written communication skills (e.g., presentation, listening, report writing.)
Strong interpersonal skills (tact/diplomacy, persuasion, cooperation and ability to motivate others)
Computer literacy. Competent in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, flow-charting, project scheduling.
Financial analysis skill, including budget management and basic accounting knowledge.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in project delivery of major water resources projects or program management of operational technology systems. (Minimum 3 years’ experience with PE)
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field. Advanced management or technical degree preferred. Equivalent experience accepted.
Certifications and Licenses*
Project Management certification preferred. Equivalent experience accepted.
