Primary Role

Supports the SAP rate change process ensuring accurate, timely creation and analysis of all rate changes and new rates for regulated business in accordance with technology change protocol and SOX financial controls.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborates with State Rate lead(s), T&I, Accounting and all other necessary business partners to define and document required SAP rate updates

  • Performs thorough analysis of rate updates to ensure accuracy on customer bills

  • Obtains required approvals from State Rate lead(s)

  • Drives improvements in revenue generation activities that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the interface between the T&I, Customer Service Center, Finance and Operating Companies

  • Performs tasks to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal controls

  • Provides timely, accurate responses to complex internal and external audit requests

  • Provides timely, accurate responses to complex internal and external colleagues requests concerning SAP tariff design and customer pricing

  • Support development of team members; provide advice and expertise on a proactive basis to team members

Knowledge/Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and listening skills

  • Strong analytical, task/project management and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Ability to initiate process enhancement, leveraging available resources to create and improve processes

  • Understanding of utility rate structure, system logic and revenue generation process

  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite and productivity tools; SAP is a plus

  • Demonstrates strong working knowledge of the tariff design and initiatives of supported States and advises on complex rate design

Experience/Education

  • Up to 7 years of pertinent experience. Utility industry is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics or a closely related business field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Travel Requirements

As necessary, up to 20%.
