Responsible for managing complex and varied training projects and working with business leaders in support of employee learning and development. Designs instruction, develops content, delivers and monitors educational programd for adult learners; to ensure employees in field operations, department/office areas and business functions have the knowledge to perform their jobs.
Oversee overall state training program including managing learning compliance, development of training for facility expansion and work site management, equipment instructional videos, and development of operations educational planning strategy. (20%)
Works collaboratively with business leaders and subject matter experts within state area to identify opportunities and recommend solutions to address learning needs. Partners with Corporate Learning & Development to assist in the deployment of enterprise-wide learning programs. Leads requirements gathering sessions and manages project tasks and deliverables. Provides thorough input to post implementation and support plans and act as a resource to colleagues to recommend and execute educational programs. (25%)
Designs, develops, and implements course curriculum, develops educational programs and content utilizing adult learner methodology (I.e. ADDIE) for in field operations, department/office areas, and business functions. Integrates best practices, communication, change management and safety strategies into educational initiatives. Works with educational vendors to provide learning solutions. Solves wide ranging problems and may recommend and implement learning solutions to broader business needs. (20%)
Delivers educational programs in field and office settings via wide-ranging methods (I.e. Formal and informal methods such as: Hands-on, instructor led, virtual classroom, eLearning, mobile, audio/video, leaders as teachers, social learning, on-demand/self-led and partnering with educational institutions). Supervise union instructors conducting training. (25%)
Provide effective leadership that will enhance our abilities to be flexible to changing business environments
Monitors trends and researches education/training related to emerging technologies, techniques and methodologies and shares information with colleagues to ensure ongoing improvement of educational programs, learning management systems, and other educational tools. (10%)
Must possess working knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodology (such as ADDIE).
Working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft office suite of products including PowerPoint, Publisher, Word and Excel as well as Adobe suite of design applications, SharePoint, Captivate, Camtasia, uPerform and other e- learning authoring tools.
Working knowledge of the production of mulitmedia education such as edit and produce audio and video for e-learning and web based materials.
General knowledge of the creation of e-learning, mobile, and multimedia educational programs including audio and video production and gamification.
Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferably SAP/uPerform.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of relatable post high school courses and directly related work required. Degrees in adult learning or instructional or technology design preferred.
5-7 years’ experience related to training with at least 5 years’ experience developing and delivering training programs.
Travel within state as required.
