CACI International Electrician in Camp Pendleton, California
CACI is looking for an Electrician to perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. The ideal candidate must be experienced in different kinds of AC and DC electrical devices and systems.
What you’ll Get to Do:
Installation or repair of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other apparatus equipment
Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers and other components
Inspect AC and/ or DC electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and codes
Advice management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
Test AC and /or DC electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system
Work standard computations relating to AC and/or DC load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment; and using a variety of electrician’s hand tools and measuring and testing instruments
Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services
Aid during emergencies by operating floodlights and generators, placing flares, and driving needed vehicles.
Maintain PPE and test equipment per applicable government regulations, codes, and standards.
Conduct and record periodic scheduled maintenance
Maintain and update periodic scheduled maintenance procedures
Respond, assess and provided feedback to unscheduled equipment outages
Coordinate and facilitate corrective maintenance in accordance with federal and local base regulations
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance - U.S. Citizen
A High School Diploma
Electrician’s License (California State Contractor)
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Electrician
Working knowledge or training in NFPA codes to include NFPA 70 NEC and 70E
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with critical facilities electrical systems to include 480 V system knowledge.
4 years' experience as an Electrician
Good verbal and written communication skills
