The tremendous success that Oracle has witnessed in terms of Cloud growth over that last years as well as the recent introduction of world’s first Autonomous Cloud Platform has led to a surge in demand for the Cloud Insight Services.
Hence, we decided to scale up the Cloud Insight services by setting up a dedicated hub in Malaga. This hub will be supporting both Cloud Insight field members as well as carrying out customer-facing remote engagements.
Key Job Elements
Contribute to engagements with experts from sales, pre-sales, consulting, and solution architecture to help shape and drive Cloud opportunities
Take ownership of specific streams of the project such as: analysis of industry trends, IT specific challenges, assessing customers’ capabilities, presentation of proposed solutions (e.g. AI/Autonomous software, Big Data, IoT, Blockchain, etc.), roadmap definition and business case development
More senior Insight hub members will be given the opportunity to conduct client facing discovery sessions in order to understand client’s challenges and priorities as well as present and defend the business case in front of key stakeholders
Contribute to team’s thought leadership by producing transferable IP (i.e. synthesizing and sanitizing previous customer experiences)
Candidate Profile and Required Skills:
2-4 years within IT strategy consulting or market/business/IT research firm, covering topics such digital transformation, Cloud and innovative technologies (e.g. Deep Learning, Blockchain)
Exceptional problem solving combined with strong interpersonal skill
Understanding of IT Landscape
Strong business research skills
Good understanding of financial statements & related terms, their implications, comparative financial analysis
Financial modelling, benchmarking and quantitative skills
Strong oral and written presentation and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong academics are mandatory e.g. MBA & MSc
Fluency in English is mandatory
Fluency in one or more European languages (Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish) is mandatory
Willingness to relocate to Malaga
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.
Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. 3 or more years of sales experience preferred including solution sales experience. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Understanding of software and consulting arenas. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle
- s competitors. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.
