The Transplant Diagnostics (TDX) business (also known as One Lambda) is the worldwide leader in HLA typing and antibody detection assays and is known for its commitment to quality, service, and innovation. Founded in 1984 by Dr. Paul Teraski, a pre-eminent researcher in the field of transplantation, One Lambda is a pioneer in transplant diagnostics. One Lambda’s tests are used by transplant centers for tissue typing, primarily to determine the compatibility of donors and recipients pre-transplant, and to detect the presence of antibodies that can lead to transplant rejection.

The TDX Marketing department is a highly collaborative and fast paced team responsible for positioning and promoting the company's business and mission. Understanding and anticipating customer needs is a requirement for all team members.

How will you make an impact?

As Associate Product Manager, Antibody Detection you will support the management of the antibody detection and serology product portfolios working closely with project team members and engaging customers to help bring new products to market. The role requires creative and technical writing skills for project proposals, customer requirement specifications, business plans, and product collateral. The Associate Product Manager will support product development and perform market research through direct customer feedback, scientific publications, and close collaboration with the commercial team.

What will you do?

  • Support the management of antibody detection and serology products

  • Understand customer needs and requirements for product workflows, usage, and specifications

  • Use Voice of Customer (VOC) to identify key opportunities for product development and improvements

  • Represent market requirements during the product development process to ensure the product meets customer driven product design and specification

  • Collaborate with project team members for new product introductions

  • Support the development and execution of product launch plans including the delivery of product training programs for internal and external customers (Technical Support, Field Application Specialists, Direct Sales, Distributors, Order Desk, etc.)

  • Evaluate market and competition to help develop and deploy key messages and communication strategies for the product line with Marketing support team

  • Perform data driven decision making to prioritize enhancement requests

  • Write project proposals, customer requirements, and business plans

  • Implement strategic plans and tactical activities

  • Maintains the utmost professionalism with internal and external customers at all times

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, or similar life science field

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an IVD/medical device arena or related field

  • Experience working with multi- functional project teams and working cross-functionally

  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Previous experience with project management and product launches preferred

  • Experience working in regulated environment and knowledge of ISO 13485 and design control requirements, also preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of antibody detection and serology product portfolios and their usage and applications in the histocompatibility and immunogenetics field

  • Knowledge and experience with HLA

  • Basic understanding of digital marketing

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to function independently in fast paced changing environment with deadline and resource constraints

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details

  • Able to work independently with some guidance from Marketing team

  • Ability to learn new products and technology at a fast speed

  • Able to successfully lead a project involving a group that may include participants from all levels of the business
