Reporting into a new leader and a newly forming Analytics team in Commercial Digital Technology, the Data Business Analyst will be providing analytics for the Fisher Sci.com website. This analytics team is part of a larger organization called Commercial Digital Technology (CDT) which is responsible for the overall digital experience Thermo Fisher provides for our customers. Our goal in CDT is to create an industry-leading digital customer experience that facilitates scientific planning, execution and analysis, with a seamless transactional experience and optimized lab operations management across the digital ecosystem. As part of the Analytics team in CDT, you will be responsible for analytics, reporting, consolidation, forecasting and planning - as well as deriving actionable insights that help drive overall efficiency, productivity, and revenue. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen and communication skills.
Identify, trends, outliers, and patterns that uncover new insights to help guide business insights on web performance
Provide expertise on eBusiness revenue and orders for high level and transnational revenue details
Be able to ‘tell a story’ using analytics that identify incremental revenue and efficiency opportunities
Work toward real-time reporting to catch problems as they occur and drive corrective actions
Derive data driven insights in close partnership with multiple teams to expose opportunities for revenue and cost optimization
Leverage visualization tools such as (examples Tableau, PowerBI) to analytics that help businesses and senior leaders understand impact of identified opportunities
Develop and maintain ongoing reports/dashboards as well as ad hoc analyses
Communicate regularly stakeholders to better understand revenue growth that provide additional data metrics that help show the full eBusiness "story”
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience (3+ years) analyzing large, complex data sets yielding opportunities for revenue and/or process improvement within an organization
Interpersonal skills: exceptional verbal/written communication, listening and presentation skills with attention to detail
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology a plus
Minimal travel required <10%
