The Channel Marketing Programs Specialist will be a key member of the Biosciences Division Global Channel Marketing Team, supporting key distribution/dealer channels globally. Serving internal and external business partners, this individual will provide key platform and operational support. This individual can be based either out of our LaFayette, CO, Carlsbad, CA, Rockford, IL, or Pittsburgh, PA, sites.

How will make an impact?

This specialist will be responsible for the evolution, deployment and curation of a channel-optimized content platform used by several commercial teams globally. Further, they will drive the strategy, logistics, operations and reporting for our participation in select channel events throughout the year, collaborating with multiple stakeholders within our team, channel partners, as well as other divisions throughout Thermo Fisher Scientific. Additional operational responsibilities include (but not limited to) managing team budgets, calendars, iConnect page(s), and other projects assigned to the team. Eventually, this individual may lead trainings specific to working with channel partners and engaging channel programs.

What will you do?

  • Help create and maintain a strategic roadmap for the content platform deployed to channel partners, monitoring progress and addressing roadblocks

  • Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors in the maintenance, enhancement, deployment and curation of content within the content platform

  • Channel event strategy, logistics/operational event support, post-event reporting.

  • Own processes supporting essential marketing team functions such as budget, marketing/communication calendars, intranet sites

  • Participate in the development, documentation and execution of strategic marketing plans for our non-digital channels

  • Coordinate within a large, matrixed organization to ensure consistency with brand profiles and company standards.

  • May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

How will you get there?

  • 2-5 years of experience in marketing, project management, or other closely related position

  • Proven collaboration skills working across broad functions working in a complex environment

  • Exceptional communication skills as well as analytical, project management and planning skills necessary

  • Ability to prioritize across several competing priorities and demands

  • Strong business acumen and customer focus are essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in area of life science or marketing

  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

Desired Qualifications:

  • Content platform management and/or event management experience a plus

  • Experience in Life Science markets preferred

  • Knowledge of the following key competencies: marketing communication, communication channels, channels-to-market, segmentation, and marketing execution

  • Experience in working with distribution networks

  • Self-starter and able to work in fast-paced work environment
