Job Description

The Senior Manager, Business Development will lead Data Science initiatives and programs designed to increase customer value and revenue opportunity across the company-wide business units, marketing and commercial organizations. Through multiple approaches including, but not limited to, cross-sell, retention, market basket, share gain, Instrument lifecycle management and account visualization, this position will be responsible for the rapid adoption of emerging company Data Science capabilities.

A strong candidate for this role will be highly analytical and process oriented, with a proven ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, develop and execute project plans.

You will also have a proven track record of working efficiently and transparently across functional teams, delivering services with high usage and success.

Key Responsibilities:

Objective: Help drive $72M of sales, from a combined set of Data Science plays and initiatives, w/2020 goal of $300M in sales

  • Engage division leaders to develop strategic plans that leverage Data Science to support business growth initiatives.

  • Lead the operational execution process for data science revenue projects.

  • Conduct VOCs to define and prioritize new or improved services.

  • Lead monthly & quarterly program reviews with business partners & leadership

  • Develop, document and maintain project management and play SOPs.

  • Assist in the implementation of the Data Science strategy and automated platform

  • Support IT and modeling teams with algorithm play development and testing.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.

  • 5+ years’ experience in sales or marketing.

  • Familiarity and track record of executing programs to drive target marketing, commercial effectiveness and overall sales.

  • Knowledge of commercial & marketing business practices (digital marketing, omni-channel marketing, sales cycle, sales methodology, CRM, lead management and nurturing)
