PlanView PPM System Analyst

The PlanView PPM System Analyst resides within Corporate IT and assists the Planview PPM Pro Product manager with the support and on the usage of PPM tools within Thermo Fisher. Reviews, guides and facilitates divisional PPM administrators in achieving global reporting, usage and naming standards, while mindful of divisional program/project development differences. Report to management on changes that present significant uptick in terms of efficiency and standardization. Provide budgets and projects for small projects to facilitate divisional adoption of new features and functionality.

What will you do?

  • Perform updates to the Planview PPM configuration

  • Document all updates to the Planview PPM configuration in the Change Management system

  • Engage other Divisional or Group level PPM administrators to assure that global changes are managed by all teams

  • Work with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system users and stakeholders to understand and document capabilities, issues and challenges of current system and processes.

  • Document and recommends process improvements to the PLM based on experience in the field

  • Document day to day job guides for improving usage of Planview PPM Pro, Agile and SharePoint

  • Facilitate weekly program/projects status updates with associated teams on progress towards deliverables and milestones

  • Facilitate monthly executive reviews with associated teams on progress towards deliverables and milestones

  • Escalate issues to leadership for engagement and resolution

How will you get here?

Education

​Computer Science or Engineering Bachelor’s Degree

Experience

  • 5+ years of related IT/ systems experience

  • 2+ years of experience configuring and managing Planview PPM Pro (formerly Innotas) or 2+ years of experience with another cloud-based PPM solution

  • Experience working with large multi-year program development teams

Preferred

  • Strong Business Analysis skills with proven results in a regulated environment

  • Strong reporting and report development skills

  • SQL

  • Planview PPM Pro and/or Power BI

  • Familiarity acting as a system owner, managing user accounts, answering day to day usage questions

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent communicator as well as have strong technical skills

  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical and business expertise

  • Strong Analytical skills

  • Strong project management skills
