How will you make an impact?

The Senior BI Business Analyst will be involved in a wide variety of activities to enable and support data-driven decision making with regards to new initiatives across ThermoFisher groups. The Sr Business Analyst will participate in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate difficult concepts at a high level, as well as the technical details, to various stakeholders within the organization.

What will you do?

  • Identify, collect, and assemble relevant data requirements from disparate sources (internal and external) to enhance internal data warehouse systems and reporting capabilities for the organization.

  • Be part of ​IT team supporting all ThermoFisher divisions on various Analytics, data warehousing and Reporting initiatives.

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and proactively identify and implement the best methods/models to address complex business questions, such as data visualization, statistical modeling, algorithm development, or machine learning.

  • Coordinate technical efforts of other IT groups, remote teams and external vendors to ensure effective development, modification, testing and implementation of systems to meet customer needs.

  • Design and develop various Enterprise Business Intelligence Solutions including business analysis of interfacing and integration with ERP systems of records and development of reporting and analytics.

  • Develop documentation and training materials, participate with customer groups in the planning for longer-term systems enhancements.

  • Hands-on experience on execution of Agile/SCRUM processes and repeatable, predictable, and high-quality delivery of software solutions.

  • Independent problems solving skills, demonstrated ability to multi-task and apply initiative and creativity on challenging projects.

  • Ability to effectively present information and communicate findings, conclusions and recommendations to business management. Able to respond effectively to questions from managers, customers, peers and vendors.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Information Assurance, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or equivalent work experience. Experience

  • Must have experience in: Business Intelligence/Data Warehousinh

  • Experience in Morden data analytics leveraging data lake, AWS, Powerbi, Tableau or related tools; gathering requirements ; Ops Planning/Manufacturing/Distribution/Procurement Reporting; Analyze

  • ERP (Oracle ERP, SAP, JDE, SFDC, Web) systems to design, define and integrate Operations/Financial/Marketing Data into Enterprise Data warehouse; Data Analysis skills; creating self-service dashboards based on Cognos /Power BI reporting tool

  • Well versed with SQL and Visualization concepts; strong communication skills
