Job Summary

Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking an

Industrial Hygiene Senior Scientist to be based in our Carlsbad, New Mexico location.

The successful candidate will perform detailed Industrial Hygiene and Safety related work, analyze findings, lead meetings such as fact findings, prepare reports and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Accurately interpret, apply and explain applicable codes, laws regulations, policies and procedures. Use initiative and independent judgment to make decisions within WIPP procedures and established guidelines. Understand and follow departmental policies. Will perform hazard analysis and will develop and implement mitigating strategies for employee protection.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science degree plus nine (9) years of related experience, or

  • Associate’s degree plus thirteen (13) years of related experience is required.

  • Due to the nature of work, candidates must be US Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with implementation of 29CFR1910, 29CFR1926, 30 CFR and 10CFR in a DOE Industrial environment is preferred.

  • Previous Mine experience is desired.
