Job Summary

Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking a

Radiological Engineering and Dosimetry Manager to be based in our Carlsbad, New Mexico location.

The successful candidate will be responsible for management of all aspects of the NWP Radiological Engineering and Dosimetry (RC&D) programs and personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a 10 CFR 835, maintaining the Radiation Protection Plan & Radiation Control Manual, WIPP RadCon Procedures, and implementing DOE 0 458.1 compliant program at WIPP. The successful candidate will ensure that As Low As Reasonable Achievable (ALARA) concepts are incorporated into work routines and processes. The successful candidate will maintain DOELAP accreditation for the NWP dosimetry program for external dose monitoring. Provides technical health physics support to the Radiation Protection Program in assigned areas as a subject matter expert.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field with ten (10) years of related Health Physics experience, or

  • Associate’s degree with fourteen (14) years of related experience, or

  • High School Diploma or GED with eighteen (18) years of experience is required.

  • Ten (10) years of experience to include Plutonium operational experience as well as Radiological Management experience at a DOE Site.

  • Due to the nature of work, candidates must be US Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification by the American Board of Health Physics is highly desirable.
