The Data Analyst is a key role in supporting organizational readiness, performance and the overall success of services within the company. This is an exciting and challenging role that directly supports the organization’s Business Intelligence function through monitoring of business unit performance, assessing opportunities for process improvement and supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong working knowledge of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, understands key service level and success measures and demonstrates a keen financial acumen. The candidate must exhibit strong analytic and problem-solving abilities as well as strong communication and presentation skills that enable them to lead internal and client discussions to drive information-based decisions to be made.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The primary roles of the Data Analyst fall into three primary categories:
Query SQLdatabases and/or data warehouse to create daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly contractualreporting external clients
Delivercontractual reporting requirements in adherence to the outlined schedule,format and delivery method
Providefinal-line manual Quality Control for reports going to clients and third-partyvendors
Reviewclient contracts to verify ability, feasibility, and compliance needs todeliver requested data reports
Offerconsultation to program management team during the launch of a programregarding capabilities of reporting in to provide client with pertinent ongoingdata
Provideproduction support for all client questions pertaining to data delivered percontractual requirements
Providead hoc reports based on client and internal business needs while meeting anagreed upon deadline
Identifyand communicate specific coding problems to the development team
Identifynew process improvement opportunities to improve data quality with theoperational teams
Formatvisual output of data analysis for external customer review
Preparequarterly business reviews for clients
Build back-endprocedures and views to drive front-end visualization frameworks
Assist increating visualization frameworks in SSRS and/or Tableau to provide internalrecipients insights into productivity
Understandbusiness unit workflow to find opportunities to improve the collection of dataso that internal groups are not negatively impacted with additional steps andcan better serve the needs of patients and clients
Collaboratewith the IT Development team and Program Management team to develop enhanced reportingtools
Assist inautomating day to day responsibilities of groups across the organization sothat efficiencies are achieved
Createself-service reporting tools for business unit leadership and programmanagement
Ad hoc Querying
Writeon-demand queries to solve in-the-moment business questions
Interpretdata, analyze results to proactively provide performance feedback to businessunits within the organization
Leadongoing analysis and reporting related to business unit performance recommendedcourses of action
Troubleshootwith internal groups if accurate data is not being collected or captured
2 years experience in data analysis
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally withmultiple internal and external audiences
1-3 yearsof previous experience in healthcare preferred
Databasequery language experience (simple and complex queries)
Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice Suite, SQL and T-SQL, SSRS, Tableau
Experience working withinternal and external customers
Demonstrated strong problemsolving and critical thinking skills
Strong organizational andtime management skills
Very strong attention todetail
4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
