Verizon Vendor Manager in Cary, North Carolina
What you’ll be doing...
The Third Party Vendor (TPV) Manager is responsible for Verizon negotiated Prime/Sub relationships supporting the proposed solution, including customer specific vendors. The Vendor Manager will also oversee existing customer third-party vendor contracts.
The TPV Supplier Manager is responsible for the additional activities:
Ensures the supporting maintenance and support contracts are in place for all non-standard contracts.
Compile, track and manage TPV Budgets for Non-standard suppliers.
Organize, schedule and supervise third-party vendor data gathering activities.
Track ongoing delivery of service with Verizon third-party vendor and client partners.
Act as a point of escalation for trouble ticket resolution for third-party vendor service problems as necessary.
Intervene with third-party vendor management to escalate service failures.
Develop monthly report of third-party vendor service using data provided by third-party vendors.
Review third-party vendor monthly invoices, verify and approve them for payment.
Effect continuous improvement of third-party vendor services.
Provide contract management of subcontracted, LOA and novated third party vendor in support of complex outsourcing deal.
Facilitate third party contract renewals where necessary, engaging contract management, sourcing and legal departments as necessary
Ensure Third Party Vendor (TPV) management data is updated in Verizon systems
Coordinate TPV activities within the bid team during the program life cycle
Ensure agreements are finalized with the Third Party Vendors, implement and transition
Provide vendor information required to align the Third Party Vendor processes with Verizon ordering, billing, delivery and invoicing processes
Lead transition and novation project phases with respect to TPV Services and contracts
Conduct TPV reviews with all Program Stakeholders
Provide information to exercise Benchmark and Market Watch reviews
Defining and implementing optimizations scenarios for TPVs in order to reduce overall costs of programs and service delivery
Assist sales team in identifying potential new revenue opportunities
Ensure smooth transition of TPVs from closure of sale to implementation
Work with finance department to ensure funding is allocated to provide appropriate support of TPVs
Compile, track and forecast TPV expenditure within assigned program
Drafting, agreeing and implementing optimization scenarios for services provided by Third Party Vendors in order to reduce overall cash out.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience
Four or more years of experience with third party vendor management including but not limited to budget management, monthly accounts receivables and accounts payable, contract renewal and support of outsourcing deals.
Four or more years of developing financial reporting and communication deliverables
Four or more years working in a service delivery enviroment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Even better if you have:

Track record of analyzing large amounts of data and delivering cost benefits
Ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work independently and manage multiple overlapping deals at one time
Self-motivated with a desire to learn
