CRST International Permit Instructor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
CRST North American Driver Training Academy is seeking a detail oriented, training professional to join their team as a Permit Instructor located at their Cedar Rapids, IA.
Conduct class A Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) training with new driver recruits entering the CRST driver program. You will conduct on line training sessions and in person training sessions. You will monitor student success using publicly available phone apps that help assess student progress and determine when the student is ready for complete testing. You will also track student training progress using Google Docs. This position will work closely with our safety and recruiting departments to help coordinate student on boarding and DOT physical and drug screen completion.
Qualifications, Education, Experience:
CRST is an EOE
Successful candidate will be subject to a pre employment background check and drug screen.
Provide on-line instruction in for Class A CLP training in three categories: 1. General Knowledge, 2.Air brakes and 3.Combination vehicles.
Telephonically welcome new students into the CRST program and set the student up with the proper training materials and training and testing expectations
Master training requirements, compliance standards, and company policies to improve the processes and better facilitate training needs as directed by the NADTA Manager.
Provide management of students in a field training environments
Schedule individual training follow up sessions with each student to discuss their progress and assist with training challenges
Observe, mentor and make recommendations with respect to how to accommodate individual training and developmental needs
Ensure all CLP training progress is assessed and properly recorded for each individual.
0-12 months experience in relevant field
HS Diploma or GED required
Graduated from accredited college or university with major course work in relevant field preferred
Certification in relevant field - CDL License, Smith System Certified preferred
Training or teaching experience preferred
