Olympus America Inc. Benefits Administrator in Center Valley, Pennsylvania
Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration.
Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations.
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
Support employees with benefit related issues and questions.
May provide assistance with new employee benefit information/enrollment.
Support the development of communications utilizing multiple communication platforms.
May facilitate face to face and WebEx benefit meetings on various topics including Open Enrollment, periodic educational meetings and introduction of new programs.
Serve as Tier II Subject Matter Expert on benefit related matters as determined by the HRSC escalation SLA including responding to SDE logged queries and phone messages and/or third party vendors.
Support internal and external system interfaces.
Work with internal and external resources to validate data and have primary responsibility over the accuracy and timely delivery.
Provide testing and validation of all changes to interfaces.
Coordinate with HRIS, payroll and other stakeholders to effectuate and communicate changes.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on leaves, including STD, LTD, Workers’ Compensation, FMLA, Parental Leave, etc, by collaborating with the HRSC, HR Compliance and HRBPs, as needed.
Maintain timely benefits billing for both self insured and fully insured benefits and related vendor invoicing.
Create audit procedures to validate billing and track billing accuracy.
Support the Premium Incentive Program, including the biometric screenings and other on-site programs.
Suggest and act on enhancement to Wellness activities Annual Open Enrollment.
Coordinate the planning of the annual open enrollment calendar of events including, but not limited to, scheduling Health Fairs at Olympus locations, coordinating vendor participation at Health Fairs, and coordinating with local HR, where needed.
With entire benefits team, assist in the development, editing and distribution of all employee communications. (webinars, presentations, websites, posters, newsletters).
Maintain detailed, documented procedure guides for all primary duties.
Maintain procedure outlines for all non-primary duties.
Perform administrative tasks such as completing medical portion of court orders, processing payments for continued benefits while on leave, entering benefit changes in HRIS/benefit administration system, managing incoming mail, participation in carrier meetings.
Maintain a clear understanding of the integration with payroll systems, including deductions and file feeds to vendors.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Center Valley, PA - With minimal supervision, provides day to day administration of the company's various retirement, health, welfare and wellness benefits programs and services. These benefits include all or part of the following, but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life & disability, COBRA, benefit administration providers (TPAs), wellness/health program, flexible spending accounts, workers compensation, health savings accounts, 401(k), pension and vendor billing. The incumbent will also research and resolve benefit issues.

Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, including health and welfare and retirement related benefits; preferably experience in a self insured environment.
Knowledge and experience with benefits laws and regulations is preferred, including, but not limited to PPACA, ERISA, COBRA and HIPAA.
Ability to interact with employees at all levels in a confidential, professional manner is essential.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
Must be proficient in computer systems such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS (preferably ADP and SAP).
Superior organizational skills are a plus.
Must be client focused and professional.
