Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Management or equivalent work experience. CISSP, GIAC, CISA, CISM or similar industry certifications highly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Information Security professional.
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills, written and verbal communications and the ability to work and communicate with staff at varying levels of seniority from technicians to senior managers, on both technical and non-technical levels.
Experience deploying, operating and maintaining Enterprise IT security programs and controls in a Health Care/Medical Device organization.
Knowledge of application security controls and awareness of top security considerations for application development in the Software Development Lifecycle.
Knowledge of database security controls, including access control, auditing, and configuration best practices.
Technical in depth understanding of network architecture and concepts, application architecture, and interoperability of these architectures with one another.
Technical understanding of computer and network forensics, system and network security, incident management, intrusion detection, vulnerability and patch management, log analysis, and related technologies.

As an IT Security Manager working on the IT Security and Governance team, you will be empowered and inspired to do your best work. You will contribute to our mission by developing and executing the IT information security strategy and building security awareness throughout Olympus Corporation of the Americas . In a typical day, you will:
Set overall IT Information Security strategy for Olympus Corporation of the Americas, working in conjunction with Olympus Tokyo to define and implement global security initiatives.
Promote, exhibit and develop a corporate culture that is committed to Governance, Risk & Compliance, and Information Security best practices throughout the organization.
Conduct periodic security risk/vulnerability assessments, assessing overall exposures and identifying the actions required to address any gaps.
Create a process to manage and approve exceptions to the security policy.
Lead cross-functional teams to design and implement new security solutions, such as identity management, data leakage protection and/or encryption.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to validate, verify and address audit/assessment findings and remediation plans.
Oversee an ongoing IT security awareness program for employees across the business and ITS.
Provide subject matter expertise and consultative support to application developers in the identification of information security issues and requirements.

The Information Security Manager has the primary responsibility for developing and executing the IT information security strategy and managing security controls, policies, procedures, and processes across the organization. The incumbent will support audit and compliance activities, manage security awareness, and provide oversight of all security controls for the business ensuring policies and regulatory requirements are met. He/She will be responsible for driving governance throughout the organization.
