Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent degree is required.
Minimum 2 years of business experience is required.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (10%).
Master’s of Business Administration is preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in market intelligence, market research, market/competitor analysis is strongly preferred.
Minimum 2 years of medical device or healthcare industry experience is a plus.
Good understanding of different market research techniques/methodologies in data collection.
Excellent research and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously and work with cross-functional project teams.
Great communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate with different levels at the organization.
Excellent written and presentation skills.
Computer proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required.
Access and Qlik experience is preferred.
Some familiarity of statistical/financial analysis tools is a plus.
Ability to learn and grasp medical procedures and related technologies.
Basic understanding of qualitative and quantitative primary market research (i.e., survey design, methodologies, field management, data analysis and final report) is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of syndicated data sources and any publicly available market data sources is strongly preferred.
Basic business mathematical and finance knowledge is preferred.

As a Market Intelligence Analyst you will be inspired to do your best work. In a typical day, you will:
Become an expert on market and competitive trends, data and information/data tools for assigned business unit.
Analyze and interpret multiple secondary market data and industry reports (i.e., market size/share/growth estimation, procedure volume, segment analysis, new technology impact analysis, etc.).
Regularly monitor, collect and analyze market and competitor intelligence from a wide range of internal and external sources.
Identify market trends and opportunities and identify competitive advantages/threats.
Perform and provide the majority of MI deliverables (i.e., market landscape and assessment, competitive analysis, market modelling and forecasting, etc.) for the region with supervisor’s guidance.
Closely work with the MI global team and regional Marketing. Estimate the market size and validation.
Support market forecasting.
Partner with internal stakeholders to build and strengthen market understanding.
Support strategy development and opportunity assessment in the Strategic Business Planning (SBP).
Support conducting primary market research and work with the MI global segment team.
Support development of go-to-market strategy and post-sales activities.
Support compiling and publishing intelligence deliverables on a regular basis (i.e., competitor profile/financials, specialty factbook).
Assist in the development of marketing plans based on related analysis.
Support vendor selection for market/competitor data and tools and maintain the membership.
Participate in other projects as needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

The Market Intelligence (MI) Analyst is responsible to support processing information on markets and competitors and providing analysis and insights to internal stakeholders in Therapeutic Solutions Division (TSD) and Endoscopic Solutions Division (ESD) in Olympus. He/ she will perform and provide the majority of MI deliverables (i.e., market landscape and assessment, competitive analysis, market modelling and forecasting, etc.) as a part of the Strategic Business Planning Process and other phases of product lifecycle under Strategy and Portfolio Management for assigned Business Unit with cross- functional collaboration with key stakeholders (i.e., Marketing, Strategy, Business Development, R&D, etc.). He/ she will support the assigned Unit globally, mainly the U.S. and Europe. This position will report to the Sr. Manager, Global MI, in the global segment team and act as a regional and specialty subject matter expert.
