Wells Fargo Application Security Champion - ASE6 in Chandler, Arizona

Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo’s more than 70 million global customers.

The ASC (Application Security Champion) is a security professional, skilled / experienced in application software development and environment configurations.

The ASC has four primary goals:

1) Directly assisting application teams with learning and adopting our Secure-SDLC methodologies

2) Is an official governance resource, responsible for quality validation of completion for the Secure Requirements and Design phases of the S-SDLC process

3) Acts as a consultant on the completion of Threat Modeling activities and

4) Supports the non-Qualys vulnerability remediation and false positive analysis from SAST, DAST, SCR/FFIEC scanning activities.

The ASC also supports WT with Application Security Audit, and other security related initiatives. All these activities are considered urgent and highly sensitive, requiring continuous direct communications with stakeholders including application teams, business partners, compliance officers, risk/security consultants, EIS testing teams, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of application development and implementation experience

  • 5+ years of information security experience

  • 5+ years of information security risk management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of application deployment model: design, implementation, and maintenance

  • Knowledge and understanding of application security planning and security architecture

  • Knowledge and understanding of full life cycle application development

  • Knowledge and understanding of technical documentation

  • Knowledge and understanding of risk assessments documentation development

  • Ability to manage complex projects in a large enterprise environment

  • Ability to present complex concepts to senior management

  • Ability to translate and present complex technical data across technical and non-technical groups
