Through a framework that addresses policy, process, operations, people, and technology, EIS protects Wells Fargo’s infrastructure, corporate data, and customer assets, and ensures alignment with applicable regulations and laws. EIS is part of Wells Fargo's Corporate Risk organization and is led by the Chief Information Security Officer.

The Security Code Review (SCR) team is part of the Wells Fargo Enterprise Information Security Cyber Security Defense and Monitoring organization that is responsible for identifying, documenting, and assessing Information Security risks within Wells Fargo critical applications using a static methodology for deep-level security code analysis.

The Applications Systems Engineer 5 will develop and support applications, tools, and databases used by the SCR team, including:

  • Developing, enhancing, and maintaining proprietary web applications while adhering to secure coding and risk reduction practices

  • Troubleshooting and researching support requests from users of the SCR applications

  • Testing and deploying code in all environments (Development, UAT, BCP, and Production)

  • Utilizing source control in a team environment, checking code in and out

  • Documenting software

  • Writing SQL queries, fulfilling requests for data, and creating reports

  • Participating in installations, upgrades, and BCP activities

This is a senior position on the Security Code Review (SCR) team and will serve as a high level technical security resource. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Definition of new security code review applications and systems, and update of current SCR systems

  • Architectural level analysis and design of SCR tools and technology

  • May also direct and serve as a mentor to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience

  • 5 + years of J2EE experience

  • 5+ years of JDBC experience

  • 5+ years of Oracle experience

  • 5+ years of JavaScript development experience

  • 5+ years of HTML (HyperText Markup Language) experience

  • 3 + years of Unix or Linux administration experience

  • 2+ years of C#.NET experience

  • 2+ years of ASP.Net experience

  • 2+ years of MS SQL server experience

  • 2+ years of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Framework experience

  • 1+ year of Spring experience

  • 1+ year of Apache experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Web Services experience

  • IIS experience

  • 2+ years of JIRA experience

  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

  • Knowledge and understanding of information security principles, policies, and procedures

  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, processes, and tools

  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment

  • Ability to translate and present complex technical data across technical and non-technical groups

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of banking or financial services industry

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
